Ralf Schumacher has not gave up on his pre-season
By Stephen Lars
Ralf Schumacher did not achieve a good result in qualifying for the Spanish Grand Prix and it seems he is just not focused enough to attain anything this season.
The German has taken a recent walloping in the press for his uncompetitive start to the season, but 31-year-old Schumacher said in Barcelona that the TF107 is still capable of racing to the top step of the podium.
Unfortunately, Schumacher is facing the existent possibility of finding nowhere to go in 2008 if he does not turn around the odds which for a long time have been against him.
Jarno Trulli is sixth on the grid for this afternoon’s race, the Italian, who came close to missing the cut in Q1 was pleased with the team’s improvement following the introduction of a new aerodynamic package.
This afternoon the stage #4 will be ran and Ralf will have his chance; whether he takes it or not will be completely up to him and his driving skills. The Catalunya circuit is quite demanding and has become popular among drivers due to the high concentration required but only the results will mark what we will see next.
