Lance goes to N.Y. Marathon again
By Stephen Lars
Lance Armstrong, the seven-time Tour de France winner ran the NY marathon last November for the first time and he finished in position 856th, barely beating his goal of breaking 3 hours.
After his appearing at the NYC marathon, Armstrong stated that it was, “Without a doubt, the hardest physical thing I have ever done.
It was really a gradual progression of fatigue and soreness,” he said at the time. “In 20 years of pro sports and endurance sports, even the worst days during the Tour, nothing felt like that or left me the way I feel now.”
Armstrong is known for his strong will, fortitude, and physical strength and the fact he decided to keep training by being part of these competitions sets an exceptional example that there are no limits to our dreams. According to Armstrong, even though there are marathons held around the country New York is the one to do.
