NHL First All-Star Game since 2004

With a lot of new faces and new sleeker sportswears the NHL All-Star game is warming up, and a lot of things will change on January 24th since this is the first All-Star game in three years.
The rules have changed in post-lockout hockey to increase scoring. Shootouts are now used to eliminate regular-season ties. And additionally there will be 20 first-time All-Stars led by Sidney Crosby and Alex Ovechkin.
The players will debut with a new uniform, which has a system that has been designed and tested by the NHL and Reebok for more than 2 years, there were more than 100 versions before they came up with the perfect model.
The lockout and the Olympics prevented the All-Star game to be held for the past 3 years only 13 of the 42 players from the last game are going to be playing Wednesday night. “The young guys today are a lot more talented than when we broke in,” said Sakic, the Colorado forward who is a 12-time All-Star (the MVP in 2004) and the West’s captain. “There are so many of them, and that’s what‘s so great about this game right now”.
The NHL All-Star game will be played Wednesday, January the 24 at 8:00 ET at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
