Jordan injured, Raiders fall against K.C.

By Stephen Lars

At the Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, the Oakland Raiders were defeated (17-13) against the Chief.

Oakland’s NFL most awful offense had already suffered two key injuries, losing starting running back Lamont Jordan to a knee injury in the first quarter and left tackle Robert Gallery to a dislocated elbow in the third.

The Raiders announced Jordan had a torn knee ligament and he is likely to be out for the rest of the season.

After signing a five-year, $27 million contract as a free agent, Jordan was in his second season with the Raiders. Jordan has rushed for 434 yards and two touchdowns in nine games. He rushed for 1,025 yards and nine TDs and had 70 catches for 563 yards and two scores last season. With Jordan sidelined, Justin Fargas will likely become the club’s featured back.
