Tennis Australia’s chief recovering

Last Tuesday, 1st August, Geoffrey N. Pollard who’s been president of Tennis Australia since 1989 had a main hearth surgery, a couple of days after his visit to London.
During his trip to Wimbledon in July, Pollard started feeling ill; after his return to Australia he visited a cardiologist in Melbourne that recommended him a triple by-pass surgery. Therefore, he had the surgical treatment from which he’s progressing well.
Pollard, 62, is also vice-president of the the governing body of world tennis, made up of 202 national tennis associations, the International Tennis Federation.
